Unlike IKEA, BANDAI actually sells it at a premium price so you can continue with the unfinished toy :P

A person who drinks on an empty stomach will experience greater impairment from alcohol than if his or her stomach were full. The presence of food in the stomach slows absorption. Foods high in protein tend to stay in the stomach longest, thus it is best to eat food such as meats, fish, eggs or cheese before and during drinking.

You trading bastards out there!! If i'm not mistaken, many of us heard you people whining about how you need to impose the cost of transportation to end consumers for your plate of chee cheong fun and chicken rice until the fuel price goes back to RM1.92 per litre.

Now its RM 1.90 per litre - we await your immediate actions.

Anyway, I lost the specific details, but the previous 6 days, I have only 2 meals (breakfast & dinner) a day.

Most of the time, my breakfast would be:
1 sunny side up
A portion of beans (those you get in the tin with tomato sauce)
1 hash brown
2 slices of french toast

Dinner:
Eat home lor.....

Current weight: varies from 82 - 83kg.

Life is not as cheerful as I naively believe when I first started this blog. My readership ratings has dropped tremendously when I fail to produce what I think is hilarious.

People come to clarify the Philip's theory and try to promote SAP or themselves to SAP.

Since people are already taking my blog for the wrong purpose..... I might as well too =P

So, I'm changing this to a daily record of my diet progress as I have just realized I have successfully GAINED 2 FRIGGIN KG IN 3 FRIGGIN DAYS.

Hence, as of today, my food intake would be:
Breakfast = 1 cup of coffee + 4 slices of biscuits
Lunch = Soya bean drink
Dinner = Fried rice + curry chicken

Current weight = 84kg..... mahem.....

Industry best practise in case of fire

a) Contact the security division?
b) Contact the fire department?
c) Bring out your leftover marshmallows?
d) Call your mom?
e) Call your soulmate?
f) Faint?
g) Run down the stairs as if there are a group of Jessica Alba in bikinis look alike giving free gifts?

If your answer lies in any of the above, you are not adhering to industry best practises in case of a fire!

What Wisma Genting thought me was the best of the best I've ever seen to save lives.

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, 3 times means 3 times!

Any lesser, someone might not hear you

Petronas RESPONDED to Phillip Hollsworth's theory?

Was reading the daily paper today and I was surprised that Petronas actually RESPONDED to the e-mail circulation which I assume suggesting the idea of Phillip Hollsworth to boycott a particular gas company as an initiative to spark a price war in the industry, at least, regionally I think.

Petronas claimed in today's report, http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/6/17/nation/21572774&sec=nation this kind of action would hurt the station owners, enterprises selling their products in the station & shareholders whom they claim many are pensioners.

Did Petronas deliberately mentioned the many other parties that will suffer from such a boycott to convince the public not to do so?

Or did Petronas took such action out of fear that it might actually work?

In my previous post, I've stated my 2 cents as to why this plan will not work. On top of that, I've debated with my friend for over 2-3 hours as he thinks that my theory will not work either.

Such boycott, which I doubt will eventually spark a price war, will still have negative impacts on Petronas itself, though it might not directly hit the fuel price though.

As mentioned, e-mails have been flying around on a geometric progression and exposure to Phillip Hollsworth's theory has been growing exponentially. This will also mean that suppliers that are engaged with Petronas kiosks might also receive this.

If I'm a supplier, the fear of thought that people would actually agree to Phillip Hollsworth's theory will make me think twice about business with Petronas. Perhaps to the suppliers, its time to look at the yellow traffic light and re-consider the amount of supplies to Petronas? The credit terms to Petronas? The supplier rebate to Petronas? & etc...

It might not be significant, but it will affect Petronas for sure.

But still, I doubt this will spark a price war. Gas users can boycott or favor whatever petrol company out of their own wish and I think what Petronas did (urging the public not to join e-mail boycott) was not the smartest move. Whether the theory is misleading or not, Petronas's action indicates a reaction out of fear.

Me? I'm a loyal customer to the one that gives me Smile's point. Simply because... they are drivers too..... :)

Phillip Hollsworth's idea of petrol price war won't work

I guess with the recent high price hike of petrol in Malaysia, many would have already received forwarded email regarding about an idea from Phillip Hollsworth on how to bring down the petrol price.

I got a forwarded mail on Phillip Hollsworth's idea. Initially, Phillip Hollsworth's idea sounded pretty good. But, if you take a few step just to look at the bigger picture, I feel that it won't work at all.

Just in a summary, Phillip Hollsworth suggested to boycott 1 particular petrol company, and pump from other instead. Phillip Hollsworth mentioned that this would ignite a price war against each other in the petrol industry.

But, consider this scenario below...

Just imagine that there are only 2 petrol companies in the world, Petronas and Kelvin Petrol. Supposedly u guys boycott Petronas, does that means u guys dont need to pump petrol? I guess not too.

That can only mean that u guys will pump at Kelvin Petrol. And one day, Kelvin Petrol's reserves wont be able to keep up with the overnight skyrocketed demand from the public, and Kelvin Petrol will not have enough refineries to cope with the demand!!

Then what happens? Kelvin Petrol will start buying from..... Petronas. And with Petronas holding fuels as hostage, now guess how much will they sell to Kelvin Petrol? Maybe RM 2.70 itself? Then Kelvin Petrol will sell it with a profit margin. And u guys will end up buying from Petronas again. And Petronas will just raise its price to match Kelvin Petrol.

So, if this chainmail by the Phillip Hollsworth keeps on circulating, who will be at the losing end? The Seller? or the Consumer?

Saturday eating Frenzy

Last Saturday, I went to a biz trip up north with my sis. After a 4 hour drive up north from dawn till morning, the Penangite flew our kite... -_-" So, as disappointed as we were, we are indeed already in the island. So, a biz-trip-turned-sour was transformed into a EATING-FRENZY-TRIP to balance off our emotions :)

After getting some local products as souveniers back to KL, the frenzy begins...

Penang is a place famous for eateries, needless to say. So, we asked the pretty lady from the souvenier shop for recommendations and she managed to guide 2 Penang blind fellows to the eatery.

On our way there, we realize that Penang is full of entrepreneurs, naming their businesses with their own names, or even their gender... -_-"

I cant read Mandarin, not sure if this furniture shop reflects the NAME or the GENDER -_-"

After a few spin here and there, we arrived at "Sister's Fried Kuey Tiow"

We arrived there just slightly pass lunch time. This is IMPORTANT TO NOTE as apparently, there is a "shift" in that kopitiam. So, we waited around 30 minutes when the other sister was preparing for her shift. The kopitiam was almost full with patrons and empty tables, all waiting for the signature dish.

Both hungry & angry, we ordered a Mee Jawa first, which was aweeeeeeeeeeeesome.

After a plate of mee jawa, the other sister finally kicks in and begin her magic show...

"Hot stuff" coming through... I mean the kuey tiow, sadly...

With prawns as big as my fat thumb and minced crab meat, I finished my plate within 3 minutes, don't even have time to take picture of it. I almost had an orgasm eating the kuey tiow...

The portion is relatively smaller than what you get in KL, and adding extra prawns will cost you RM5 per plate - still worth it.

I feel like ordering another plate... I guess its the norms around here. I believe patrons enjoy the dish so much, they literally eat, clear their stomach, order again, shit again, eat again and goes on, until the kopitiam have to warn them not to settle their "personal business" in the restaurant itself.

Please be reminded to crap in the toilet ONLY!

Too bad there are not enough pictures to describe my frenzy that day. So, in a nutshell, the entire trip involes the frenzy as of below:

On my way to/in Penang:
Tosais @ KL > Croissants @ Starbucks Gurney Plaza > Mee Jawa @ Lam Heng > Kuey Tiow @ Sister's > Asam Laksa @ around Kek Lok Si

On my way Back from Penang:
Taugeh Chicken Hor Fun @ Ipoh > Tapao-ed Salted Chicken @ Ipoh > Tapao-ed Curry Chicken Bread @ Ipoh > Tapao-ed Pillow Dumpling @ Ipoh

When I reached KL:
Pillow Dumpling for supper...

When I woke up the next day:
Gained 2 - 3 kilograms... with a smile on my face :)
